Jackie Oates 'A voice that is at once traditional and modern' Q

A packed few weeks of recording

23 April, 2010 | Posted in: news

Jackie has been in and out of studios since her return from the U.S. so expect to hear her guesting on a number of new albums coming up later in the year.  She has been recording backing locals and fiddle parts for the new Jim Moray album ‘In Modern History’ pre-released on Songlines magazine on April 30th.  Jackie has also been recording with Ewan McLennan for his debut album due out in August on Fellside Records.  And in between time she’s recording a track for the new Folk Against Fascism album to be released in autumn 2010.

Jackie was kind enough to send me a copy of Hyperboreans, following Narberth event…and I havent paid her ! How can I contact her to do so? By the way Jackie, my son Dylan Watkins, in Totnes confirms that Mike on keyboard & squeeze was Mike Cosgrave.. so I did know him ! He’s just grown up ! thanks so much…I hope you’ll make Narberth again…you could all stay if you like.
