I met her at The North Sea Festival here in Farsund, South-Norway, one year ago. She was, with one single word, outstanding!
Her three solo CDs are also wonderful! The version of the beautiful “The Lark In The Morning” is the best I ever heard.
Now I am looking forward to her next album, and hope to meet here again.

Jackie is supporting Show of Hands at St Mary’s Church, Cropredy in October.
I always enjoyed the August Cropredy Festival in the late eighties and early nineties and at each festival the highlight for me was the singing of ‘Meet on the Ledge’.
Jackie’s rendition of ‘May the Kindness’ is so tender, the words so moving and the song reminds me of ‘Meet on the Ledge’ because of its simple but overwhelming power.
My mother’s ashes are scattered in the graveyard of St Mary’s Church (Hilary died in 1986) and I would very much like to hear Jackie sing ‘May the Kindness’ that evening. Unfortunately, I’m in France and I’m working – can’t get to the concert.
I’m sure that everyone who goes will enjoy it; I saw Jackie at the Trowbridge Festival in July and she is special.
