A Midwinter’s Night
Released in December 2024 and reaching number 27 in the Official Folk Albums Chart that month, this is the second album from Jackie Oates and John Spiers, and features 13 tracks of Christmas material, gathered from local custom, advent carols, yuletide tunes and festive songs from further afield. Recorded at Woodworm Studios in Barford St Michael, Oxfordshire in 2024, the album features multi-instrumental tracks played by John and Jackie. A joyous celebration of midwinter and all its shades.
